the bright side of may

May came and went quickly but brought many big changes with. The end of my junior year of college, a new home, hundreds of miles between my boyfriend and I, and a new camera (canon 60d used here).

Through such major transitions, its really made me look at who I truly am and where I find my identity. There have been several days that I've felt really lost, in many ways. But I'm reminded to search deep within myself and find joy that gives me such incredible peace for whatever seasons I may walk through. It's been a crazy few weeks for me, and though I am thankful for the things I've learned along each step of the way... I am definitely welcoming the warmer days with open arms!

I'm not sure if you make easter baskets big enough to hold all of this stuff. But I'm fine with accepting several small baskets. I know I usually get candy...& I'm not complaining...but I just thought I could help you get a little bit more creative this year! I recently came across a skirt with dalmatians on it!!!!! I've been trying to add more colorful and interesting items to my wardrobe since I tend to stick to more neutrals, and I figured it doesn't get much more interesting than this!

Ok. Let me tell you. It was WiiinnNNDddY. I gave many people an unexpected show that day. That's what I get for trying to be brave and expand my wardrobe!! So if it looks like I'm trying to hold my skirt down in these pictures, it's because I am. From the unwanted revealing of my private areas, to my flyaway baby hairs, and my legs that are begging for a tan. Ohhh man life is good isn't it... it keeps you humble.. that's for sure. LOL

My school puts on a big event for the ladies each year called Fashion Fever! It's a night to get dressed up, win prizes, watch a fashion show (with our peers as models!), and celebrate our beauty as God's creation. This is the one night of the school year that dress code does not apply to us, so let's just say some girls have a real good ol' time! But overall it's so fun to hang out with all your friends while getting inspired everywhere you look. Here are some of my favorite moments, snapshots, and memories!
