I broke off their antlers (sorry!), spray painted them gold, 

and then replaced the antlers with delicate flowers.

Literally gathered all this stuff outside like a little chipmunk or something. 

Bought vases at thrift store. Already had candles and feathers.

There is nothing like an inviting thanksgiving table.

If there is one thing I'll always remember from growing up as a lil tom boy, it's the thanksgiving coziness that my mom always created. Candles, place settings, smelly good things, and of course the thanksgiving table centerpiece. I can only aspire to create an atmosphere like she did!

I put these two ideas together with practicality and affordability in mind.

All of the food prep, cleaning, and deciding who should sit next to who at the table is enough to worry about! Can I get an amen?

I'm planning on using one for the dinner table & one for the appetizer table.

I. Love. Thanksgiving. 

I love what it stands for, I love the atmosphere it creates, and I love. love. love the food. This year I'm hosting my very first one ever with some cool pals! So I wanted to make it special by creating some diy thanksgiving table pieces. My goal was to make these practical, simple, and affordable while ultimately embracing kick-ass rustic deliciousness at the same time. 

I made the place-card holders out of sticks (clearly), hot glue, tacky glue, and glitter! bam.

The dinner boards I made with wood, sanding blocks, stamps, a homemade stencil, and paint. boom.

I love how these turned out & I hope they inspire you to get creative and bring in the cozy and the food (oh my..... yes.. so much food!) for thanksgiving!

I spent my Thanksgiving break with Jake's family in Illinois! Born and raised on crowded Long Island, NY, I always find the trips to his house fascinating. The big fields and farms make everything so open. All that open space sure feels good on a crowded mind. 

Jake's family owns a local antique mall and jewelry store! Here are some of the treasures I found to add to both my Owl and Vintage Pyrex collections!

Even though I did a little Black Friday shopping at the mall, these 4 antiques are still my favorite. I plan on moving into an apartment next year so I'll be able to put my finds to good use.

It seems like just a few days ago that the leaves started falling and people began posting pictures of their first pumpkin spice lattes of the season on instagram. Time flies when you are in college. Here are some of my favorite memories from this crunchy leaf season. I'll also take this time to introduce some of my favorite people!
