let's be explorers

2/9/13

One of my goals this year is to find peace. For my two year anniversary with Jake, we did just that. We took a mini road trip to the Crystal Bridges museum in Bentonville Arkansas. The sky was blue, the air was fresh, and my heart was happy.

Starting the day off right with Gailey's breakfast and fresh coffee

on the road again

Our journey then took us to Eureka Springs Arkansas. That place is crazy! But so awesome. You can expect to find a maze of old streets lined with historical buildings turned into shops run by friendly people, lots of gay pride signs and flags, and some extremely risque shop signs and titles! (I loved them.)

Sparky's Roadhouse - where we were told to eat by some locals! Delicious Tex Mex!

To be completely honest, I cried when we got back from our adventure because i loved it so much and was heartbroken to be back!! I guess you could compare me to a little girl throwing a fit because she doesn't want to leave the zoo. But hey...I just treasure adventure, creativity, and peacefulness.....and food. Lots of food. And this little excursion did it all for me. Hit the jackpot. Happy belly & happy soul.

Been on an adventure lately? Post a link. I'd love to check it out :]

    1. haha oh boy. It's funny cuz he was probably more into it than I was! I guess we are both a pretty artsy couple. He's probably more into art & history than I am though. Getting him to watch a chick-flick...or to read a slightly feminine book...now that's another story. He's an intersting guy though! Super athletic but would rather read than watch sports or play video games. Very interesting. But i love him! Haha & thanks for the compliment! Maybe you just have to find a really interesting museum! Like Ripley's believe it or not...or a wax museum!!! I could see any guy liking those.
